Long before blogging platforms and social media existed, Biju began sharing practical Oracle knowledge with the community. In 1997, he published his first personal website on GeoCities, offering scripts and tips aimed at helping early-career DBAs make their daily work easier.

That early effort laid the foundation for what would later become bijoos.com—a long-running resource focused on real-world Oracle administration and architecture. The original site is no longer actively maintained, but it has been preserved as an archive and remains accessible today.

Writing & Publications

Biju’s first book was published in 2000, at a time when authoritative Oracle resources were limited and certification preparation relied heavily on printed material and hands-on experience.

Prior to that, he had written a technical article for Oracle Magazine on Oracle 8i LogMiner. That article drew the attention of Sybex, who reached out to explore whether he would be interested in authoring a book.

With no prior book-writing experience, he took on the opportunity with strong editorial guidance from the Sybex team. The resulting book filled a significant gap for professionals studying for Oracle 8i certification and was widely used at a time when comprehensive online resources were not yet available.

This experience established a foundation for continued writing and publishing, alongside ongoing community contributions through articles, blogs, and conference presentations.
